Reflect, Refocus, and Reignite: Preparing Your Practice for a Strong Finish and a Bold 2025

  • Ask the Right Questions: To truly reflect, consider asking yourself and your team: What were our biggest accomplishments? What did we learn from our failures? How did we adapt to changes in the market or client needs? Use these answers to inform your next steps.


2. Refocus: Channel Your Insights into Intentional Action


Once you’ve taken the time to reflect, it’s time to refocus both your thoughts and your behaviours. This phase is all about turning insights into action. It’s about aligning your, or your firm’s priorities with your goals and ensuring that every step you take moves you closer to your vision.


  • Set Clear Priorities: Use your reflections to zero in on what matters most for Q4, and beyond. Whether it’s doubling down on client outreach, fine-tuning your business development strategy, investing in professional growth, or acknowledging shortfalls within your firm, make sure your actions are purposeful and aligned with your broader vision.

  • Leverage Your Wins: The successes you’ve identified in your reflection phase aren’t just moments to be proud of—they’re blueprints for future growth. Ask yourself: How can you replicate these wins? What systems or behaviors contributed to these outcomes, and how can you integrate them more deeply into your daily practice?

  • Tackle the Challenges Head-On: Refocusing also means addressing the obstacles you identified. Use this time to create action plans that tackle challenges directly, whether it’s improving workflow efficiencies, expanding your network, or enhancing client communications.


3. Reignite: Set the Stage for a Breakthrough 2025


The final piece of the puzzle is reigniting your passion, direction and drive toward your vision. As you approach the end of the year, it’s natural to feel a little stretched and fatigued as you push toward reaching your current-year goals. But this is the perfect time to reconnect with your “why” and set the stage for an energized and focused 2025.


  • Revisit Your Vision: Take a moment to revisit the core vision of your practice. Why did you start? What impact do you want to have? Use this vision as your guiding star as you plan for the year ahead.
